I received this via email and it made me reflect. While I have not double checked the facts, I found this to be inspiring. I hope you find it impactful.

Death is certain but the Bible speaks about untimely death!  Make a personal reflection about this…

It is written in the Bible, “Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7

Here are some men and women who mocked God :

John Lennon (Singer): Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said:

“Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that. I am certain.  Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him.” (1966).

Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ): During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being President, then he died.

Cazuza (Brazilian composer, singer and poet): During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed out some smoke into the air and said: “God, that’s for you.”

He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER.

The man who built the Titanic: After the construction of Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe the Titanic would be.  With an ironic tone he said: “Not even God can sink it.”

I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe (Actress): She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show.  He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.  After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said, “I don’t need your Jesus.”

A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.

Bon Scott (Ex-vocalist of AC/DC): On one of his 1979 songs he sang, “Don’t stop me; I’m going down all the way, down the highway to hell.”

On the 19th of February 1980, he was found dead; he had been choked by his own vomit.

Campinas, Brazil: In 2005 a group of friends, drunk, went to pick up a friend. The mother accompanied her to the car and was worried about the drunkenness of her friends. She said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car, “My daughter, go With God and may He protect you.”  She responded, “Only if He (God) travels in the trunk, ’cause inside here it’s already full.”

Hours later, news came that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died. The car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact.  The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs, none were broken.

Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer): She said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written.

In June 2006, she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.

Many more important people have forgotten that there is no other name that was given so much authority as the name of Jesus.  Many have died, but only Jesus died and rose again, and He is still alive.

I have done my part, Jesus said “If you are embarrassed about me, I will also be embarrassed about you before my father.” Mark 8:38 paraphrased.

Bishop T.D. Jakes’ 8 Second Prayer, just repeat this prayer and see how God moves!!

‘Lord, I love you and I need you, come into my heart, and bless me, my family, my home, and (my friends, in Jesus’ name. Amen.’

  1. another form of mocking Christ is this:

The Real Meaning of Merry Christmas

MERRY: Full of high-spirited gaiety; jolly. (source:
    CHRIST: Christianity. Jesus. (source:
“In the Christian law, the supreme sacrifice is that of the Mass. …The supreme act of worship consists essentially in an offering of a worthy victim to God, the offering made by a proper person, as a priest, the destruction of the victim.” Source: (Source = Page 537 of the Catholic Encyclopedia)
So, in essence the word Mass is defined as death sacrifice or “Destruction of the victim” according to the Roman Catholic church itself. So, when you say “Merry Christmas” you are actually declaring with great happiness and joy that Jesus is dead and gone.
By the way, when Santa Clause says “Ho ho ho, Merry Christmas” he is openly and boldly mocking the sacrifice of Christ WITH LAUGHTER!! (source:

  2. Thank you for your comment. I know that it bothers you to read the phrase “destruction of the victim” in referring to Christ. To make things clear, there is one thing I must stress out-we Catholics in our official teachings and doctrines are never taught that we destroy Christ in the sense of annihilating Him in the Mass.

First and foremost, let us define what a sacrifice is. According to,
sac⋅ri⋅fice- 3. the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim.

Now what does the Catholic Encyclopedia mean when it said “destruction of the victim?”
Here is a quote from the same encyclopedia,

If the Mass is to be a true sacrifice in the literal sense, it must realize the philosophical conception of sacrifice… Without attempting to state and establish a comprehensive theory of sacrifice, it will suffice to show that, according to the comparative history of religions, four things are necessary to a sacrifice:
    • a sacrificial gift (res oblata),
    • a sacrificing minister (minister legitimus),
    • a sacrificial action (actio sacrificica), and
    • a sacrificial end or object (finis sacrificii).

In contrast with sacrifices in the figurative or less proper sense, the sacrificial gift must exist in physical substance, and must be really or virtually destroyed (animals slain, libations poured out, other things rendered unfit for ordinary uses), or at least really transformed, at a fixed place of sacrifice (ara, altare), and offered up to God. (

By this, it is shown that in order to have a sacrifice there must be consummation of sacrificial action or destruction just as the case of the animals being sacrificed in the OT. The lamb being sacrificed should indeed be destroyed or die and its blood poured out. If the lamb is not destroyed or is not killed then there is no sacrifice at all. And we know that Jesus is the Lamb of God-the supreme sacrifice. He was brought into trial, He was flogged, He was crowned with thorns, He was crucified, and He died (or destroyed in a technical sense.) And yet, it was this same death or destruction that brought us new life, by his wounds we are healed.(Is. 53:5) That is why, as what I’ve said previously, destruction does not mean annihilation.

The Catholic Encyclopedia stated further that,

Thus the real form of the Sacrifice of the Cross consisted neither in the killing of Christ by the Roman soldiers nor in an imaginary self-destruction on the part of Jesus, but in His voluntary surrender of His blood shed by another’s hand, and in His offering of His life for the sins of the world. (

By partaking of the Holy Communion, we Catholics proclaim the saving death of Christ until He comes in glory.
